While we welcome walk-ins, it’s always better to book a consultation. This way you can meet with a tattoo artist face-to-face and find the perfect design for you.
Consultations are free and take a few minutes so it’s worth the time. Bring your references and ideas. Your artist will give you a quote. It’s important to note that this is only an estimate. The actual tattoo time may be more or less which changes the final cost.

Deposit of 50% is required for all bookings. This covers the cost of the design and secures your booking. This is deducted from your final tattoo price. So the design is free if you get the tattoo done by us. If you change your mind and want to get the tattoo done elsewhere then the deposit is forfeit.

No bookings without a deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable. This means that should you cancel you will not get your deposit back. However, if you postpone your booking we will move your deposit to that booking. This must be done no less than 24 hours in advance. If you want to change your booking at shorter notice, a new deposit will be required.

Non-refundable means – if you decide you do not want the tattoo any more or can’t make your booking. The deposit will cover the time the artist spent on your design. This term also applies when you change your mind about the whole concept and your artist has to draw up a completely new design.

Once the design has been done, your artist will send you a rough design for your approval. We usually allow 2 revision rounds to make changes.
Please understand that your artist has many clients and many designs and so please be patient.

The success of your tattoo is very dependant on how you take care of it. This is how we recommend you take care of your tattoo.
Try to keep the wrapping on as long as possible. We suggest trying to keep it on until the next morning.

1 · Wash your hands with Antibacterial soap
2 · Remove the wrapping and you will see a gooey layer of plasma and ink. This is normal so don’t worry. With your hands only, gently wash off everything until there’s nothing on the skin. Don’t use a cloth or exfoliator. Wash 3 times a day for the next 4 days.
3 · Air dry the tattoo for around 15 minutes. Don’t use a towel since this is too abrasive for your fresh tattoo.
4 · Apply a thin layer of E45 (bought at any pharmacy) and ensure it’s absorbed.
5 · Once the scabs have come off you’ll have some new shiny skin over your tattoo. Now is the time to stop using the E45 and start using coconut oil.

General After-care:
-Don’t swim or soak the tattoo for the first 2 weeks.
-Avoid the sun for the first 2 weeks. We also recommend applying sunscreen for the life of the tattoo. It’s also good to moisturise your tattoo for it’s life.
-Do not share after-care products with anyone. Wash your hands before touching or cleaning your tattoo.
-You can take a shower or bath with your tattoo, just don’t soak it.
-Avoid sports or strenuous activity while your tattoo is healing.
-If you do exercise then give your tattoo a wash after. Remember that the benches and equipment in the gym are rarely clean so avoid contact.
-Do not use Zambuck, Vicks, camphor cream or anything outside of our recommendations without first consulting your artist.

We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards except American Express and Diners Club.
EFT is accepted only for deposits.

No drinking the night before or before your tattoo appointment.
This makes your blood thinner and makes it more difficult for your artist to work and for the ink to stay in. It also makes it hurt more.
Also avoid medications that may thin your blood unless you have a medical condition.
If you have a condition such as asthma, low blood sugar or severe allergies, please bring anything you might need with you.

Eat a good meal before you come in. Getting a tattoo, especially long sessions takes energy. Getting tattooed on an empty stomach can cause dizziness, nausea, fainting or make it more uncomfortable than normal. If you’re sitting for a full day session you’ll need to take a break to eat.

If your tattoo needs a touch up we offer the first touch up for free. You have 3 months after your tattoo for your touch up.
You will need to wait at least a month to do a touch up to allow it to heal enough.

If we can see that the touch up is needed as a result of poor after-care, picking scabs, sun damage or soaking, you will need to pay for your touch up.
We also exclude free touch ups on tattoos on hands and feet. These are areas notorious for not holding ink.

We have vouchers for tattoos and piercing available in studio.

Vouchers can only be used for bookings, not for walk-ins. (Except for piercing vouchers which can be used for walk-ins)

They are valid for the value of the voucher and no part of the voucher will be credited.

Vouchers are valid for 90 days from date of purchase.

48 hour cancellation applies. If the appointment is missed without 48hr notice – the voucher is void.

No refunds, exchanges or cash backs.

Voucher must be presented on the day to be validated.

If you don’t use it – you lose it.

All voucher rights are at the discretion of Canvas Cultique.

A non-refundable deposit is required to commence design and to secure your deposit.
The deposit will be deducted off the final cost of your tattoo.

The design sent to you is not an accurate representation of the final product, it is usually a line drawing or referenced composition to create a rough idea of what the tattoo will look like.

If you fail to cancel or reschedule your appointment within a 48 hour period, you regretfully forfeit your deposit.

Non-refundable means – if you decide you do not want the tattoo any more – the cost of the deposit will cover the time the artist spent on your design. This term also applies when you change your mind about the whole concept and your artist has to draw up a completely new design.

No children under the age of 12 are allowed in the establishment – this is for their own safety.

Only one friend is allowed to accompany the client at any given time. The artist needs to focus and give the client their best work.

All original design work remains the property of the artist, both prior to and post execution, and as such no permission is given to reproduce or publicly post said artwork on any platform whatsoever. The tattoo, however, is yours to show off as you like.
