Canvas Cultique Tattoo Studio

FAQS

We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards except American Express and Diners Club.

EFT is also accepted for deposits and full payments, only if paid and cleared prior to booking date

We advise not drinking alcohol for up to 24 hours before your tattoo appointment.

Drinking alcohol thins your blood, making the tattoo process more difficult as well as more painful. It can also lead to inconsistent ink retention during your healing process.

If you are on blood-thinning medication, it is recommended to consult your doctor first about getting tattooed.

Always let your artist know if you are on blood-thinning medication, or anti-biotic medication.

If you have any conditions, such as, but not limited to, asthma, low blood sugar, epilepsy or severe allergies, please let your artist know and bring along anything you may need with you.

Ensure that you eat a large, balanced meal the night before, and morning of your tattoo appointment.

Getting tattooed takes energy, especially if you sit for longer sessions, so getting a tattoo on an empty stomach can lead to you feeling dizzy, nauseous and can even cause you to faint.

For a full-day session, we recommend bringing snacks and lunch as well as anything you may need to help you through the session (a book, earphones or some other form of distraction if needed).

If your tattoo needs a touch-up, we offer one free touch-up within the first 3 months after getting your tattoo.

Your fresh tattoo will need to heal for at least 4 weeks before getting a touch-up.

We do otherwise charge for touch-ups if they are not within their three month free touch-up phase, if the original tattoo was not done by our artists, or if the touch-up is needed as a result of poor aftercare, picking scabs, sun damage or soaking.

Our free touch-ups are also not offered on tattoos placed on the hands, feet, neck or face. These areas are known for not retaining ink well.

We have vouchers for both tattoos and piercings available in studio and online At Studio 57 Online.

Our vouchers are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.

Vouchers can be used for bookings and walk-ins (Design complexity and time permitting). Voucher code must be presented on the day in order to be validated.

No refunds, exchanges or cash-backs.

Our 48 hour cancellation policy applies. If the appointment is missed, or cancelled without 48 hours notice, the voucher will be void.

All voucher rights are at the discretion of Canvas Cultique.

A 50% deposit will be required in order to secure your booking.

Appointments not cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours prior to the booking will automatically forfeit the deposit paid.

Tattooing clients under the age of 18 years is not permitted.

A design fee will be required for any and all custom design work.

This design fee is valid for 3 months from date of payment.

Design fees are non-refundable.

Design fees cover up to 5 redesigns of the originally discussed design(s).

If additional redesigns are required or requested, an additional design fee will need to be paid to compensate the artist for lost time and labour.

The design sent to you is not always an accurate representation of the final tattoo. It is usually a line drawing or a composition reference for the final tattoo.

Additional admin fees/charges for international payments will not be covered by the studio and will need to be paid for and thus covered by the client/account holder.

One plus one will be permitted to join you on the day of your appointment.

Children will not be permitted as a plus one or allowed near the tattoo stations.

If a child/children must accompany you to your appointment, they will need to be accompanied and observed by another adult/guardian in the waiting area.
